Acme was recommended to us from a neighbor regarding our car whose check engine light has been on for over a year. Three separate auto repair places and a significant amount of money, and the check engine light was still on. Time has come to get a smog and register the vehicle, but of course, it would not pass with the check engine light on. We couldn't sell the car, only salvage. One last chance at Acme, and THEY FIXED IT!!!! Not a $2,000 computer like the dealership wanted, just a sensor and basic mechanic work. Thanks Ken and all, you are the best.

I've been going here for the last few years when my car has a problem. It is a family owned business (which I like to support) and I completely trust them to tell me the things that are wrong with my car. They have never tried to "upsell" me on additional services.

We have been customers of Acme since we'll before it was Acme. Through many years and many cars, I can't say enough about how valuable it is to have a mechanic that you can trust. I wrote a review for Acme in 2011 and all that I said then still holds true. Ken is 200% behind his work. If something fails, he fixes it. Acme is Diamond Certified and has an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau. It's easy to get upset if your car is broken. It's even easier to get upset when more is wrong than what initially appeared. Is it fair to blame the mechanic because something else is broken? Not really. Acme is a great neighborhood auto repair shop and Ken is a great mechanic. Enuff said

Most honest mechanic around

I have been going here for three years now. Other than an attempt to have me get tires there (although convenient never a good deal when you can go to a discount tire place instead) they have never tried to up sell me on anything--which is unusual in my experience in having older cars worked on. In my opinion, they are reasonably priced, efficient, and honest.

So i've been having problems with my battery...after a couple jump starts i took it here without a appointment and they tested it and then tightened the terminals....both for free which was pretty sweet! if i have anymore problems i'm definitely going here again :)

So far so good. Service is reasonable (especially with local coupons). Recommended repairs are explained and estimated without being pushed on you. (We're talking older cars that always need something!) I left my other mechanic after they starting pushing things on me.

Had a good experience. His prices are excellent. He only charged me $25 to empty out my a/c system, and then only charged me $117 to recharge the system again. I had put the wrong o-ring on the pressure line near the condenser, but he did not charge me extra to help me get the right one on so the system wouldn't leak. I would recommend him. To any one.

We drive all the way to Acme Auto from San Jose for anything that happens to our vehicles that isn't DIY fixable. We'll even go so far as to have it towed there. The great service and staff and prices make it more than worth it. WERE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A DEAL! Since moving to San Jose, our family had a hard time finding reliable auto shops with acceptable pricing and no language barriers. After shopping around here, it wasn't long before the clear choice was to return to the service we knew would come through for us! My family has been a loyal customers for about a decade now, with no intention of taking our business anywhere else any time soon!
